Everyone on the Wanderful Bodies retreats team is very much about fun, exploration and joy. However, we are also about professionalism, clarity and transparency.

 

Please read on for frequently asked questions about our retreats. If your question isn't listed, please contact us and we will do our best to find answers.

 

At the page bottom of this page you will find three forms that are required for Wanderful Bodies Retreat participants:

1. an Intake form to keep us informed of your physical abilities or restrictions and special dietary needs

2. a detailed list explaining our company's policies, including all of the fine print about liability and refunds,

3. a waiver form relieving wanderful bodies retreats of any liability should anything go amiss during our trips. 

We strongly encourage you to read them BEFORE you sign up with us so that we are all on the same page as far as expectations go. 

Before joining us on a retreat, we, Wanderful Bodies MUST have a signed copy of each of these three forms from each person in your party before you enter your lodgings on the first day. This is very important as you will not be allowed to retreat with us without these. Please help us comply with our insurance company's requirements.

What is your cancelation policy for the Retreats?

If you find the need to cancel your reservation, please understand that your deposit of $1000 is non-refundable and non-transferable. 

Cancelations more than 90 days before your scheduled retreat, will receive a refund of any payments made, less the deposit.

Cancelations 30-90 days before your scheduled retreat, will receive a refund of 50% of the trip fee.

Cancelations within 30 before your scheduled retreat will relinquish 100% of the trip fee.

Please also understand that our cancelation policies are firm and no exceptions can be made for, but not limited to, injury, personal issues/emergencies, weather related absences, and personal or family illness. We do not refund for missed attendance in any way, including late arrivals or early departures. 

Do you recommend trip insurance?

Absolutely!

We are very aware that things happen that are completely out of our control. We highly encourage protecting yourself with trip insurance both to cover injury and medical expenses should you need them and to cover the cost of the trip should you need to cancel.

It is very much up to you, the participant, to understand our cancelation policies and protect yourself against unforeseen circumstances.

What if Wanderful Bodies cancels my retreat?

Very rarely Wanderful Bodies may need to cancel do to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to; insufficient sign ups, weather related emergencies, or unsafe travel conditions. 
In these cases we will offer a full refund of monies paid, or transfer monies paid to a future retreat. This is limited to monies paid directly to wanderful bodies retreats, towards the retreat in question and not to expenses paid to other vendors outside of wanderful bodies retreats, such as, but not limited to; airfare, hotels or car rentals.nks, or connect to data from your collection.

Is there a wait list for fully booked retreats?

Yes. If you see a retreat you love is booked, please shoot us an email or call us in person. We will add you to the list and keep you posted.

What should I do to prepare my body?

Wanderful Bodies retreats are active. Unless specifically themed as "beginner" or "all levels", we assume that by signing up you have some previous knowledge and experience with the techniques listed on your specific retreat. That is to say that if you are coming on a yoga retreat, you have practiced yoga, or if you are planing on joining our hikes, you are a person who currently hikes and is physically fit do continue doing so. 

Please do prepare your body by practicing for at least a month or more before you join us. We want you to feel fit, in your element, and unafraid to get out there! We also encourage you to speak with your primary care physician about your trip and have them clear you for action.

Is there paperwork involved to sign up?

We require a general health intake form as well as a liability waiver and signed policies page. These will be included in the welcome package you will receive after you sign up or you can read and print them from our "fine print" page. We must have these signed and received by Wanderful Bodies 90 days prior to your retreat.
If you sign up within 90 days of the retreat, you will have 7 days from the day you sign up to complete this paperwork.
If this paperwork is not complete in the time allowed your spot may be surrendered. Every participant must complete the forms in order to join a retreat.

Can I still sign up and opt out of stuff?

Absolutely! This is your retreat, do as much or as little as you feel like. If you would prefer to nap rather than hike, go for it! Wanderful bodies wants for you to enjoy every moment with us, so take care of you and we will always be supportive.

Please do note that group activities will continue whether you join in or not. When opting out, be prepared to entertain yourself.

What should I pack?

Once you sign up for a retreat, we will email a welcome letter including a packing list specific to the retreat you chose.
